I got this monitor about two weeks ago for my birthday. It has been a dream, and simply has an amazing picture. I honestly have no complaints about this monitor...except one.

Occasionally, the screen will go black. It is still lit by the tubes, it just seems that it's losing my desktop display. I can however, quickly bring it back by cycling through the other connection sources. It is currently connected by a DVI to HDMI cable, as I found this provides the clearest picture for my setup. I have tested other monitors in the house with this cable/vid card/pc setup, and I don't have this issue. I also updated my 5770 to the latest drivers, and I have the latest Catalyst.

It only seems to do it on two occasions. The display will go black if the monitor is left on and idle for a few hours. Also, if the monitor has been off for several hours at a time, and I turn it on, the display will go black after a few minutes of coming back on. These are the only times it will do it. If I am doing anything on my computer, such as; surfing, gaming, watching movies, etc, it will not go black.

Also, just so everyone is clear as to what it is happening, the monitor is staying on, and the back light is staying on. The entirety of my desktop goes black, and will not come back until I cycle through the connection sources.

This is very likely caused by certain energy/power saving feature(s). Disable them.

3 possible sources:-
1. Windows
2 .Video card driver CCC
3. Asus VE276Q (I have checked the online manual and do not see anything. But you double check by directly going through the Menu in your monitor)

After a couple of hours, I was able to rule out these three things.
