hey guys im jsut wondering if theres anyway u can buy an adaptor for an IDE ata 133 to make it a sata., i just saw a good deal at FRYs 250 gb ata 133 for 119.00. and if there is such a thing would i get the 150 transfer rate?

yes 150 transfer is correct, you can find an adapter at newegg.com
If you go from IDE on mobo to an SATA drive you will not the transfer.

I recommend this, it is a PCI card that gives you SATA plugs.

If your motherboard has native SATA connectors, then yes, there are adapters available to connect an IDE drive to those connectors. And yes, the IDE drive will benefit from the faster connection. However, people have had some problems with certain adapters, so do a Google search before you buy.
