Alright so I finally narrowed down my search to find myself a mid range graphics card for gaming on some new games coming out (cod 6, left for dead, assassins creed, ect.) and cause I've come to heads I decided I wanna to ask what you guys think I should get the HIS Radeon HD 4670 iSilence4 1GB or the XFX GeForce GT 240 1GB.

Links to the cards specs:

The Radeon
3 guys with Nvidia icons telling you go ATI plus me... that's all you need bro!
The GDDR3 version of the GT240 does not perform as well as the GDDR5 one. It has half the bandwidth.

Reviews show the GT240 as a little slower than the 9600GT, but faster than the GSO (Mind you, this is the GDDR5 version the reviews are about. The XFX one is GDDR3.)
The GT240 does not support SLI. (Neither hardware nor software SLI)

I say get the 4670.
I would have thought the little higher the price that better the performance would be I guess.

Yea the POWERCOLOR model is a AGP 8X.
Fixed. Odd, I had "PCIe 2.0 x16" selected in newegg's search thing. Weird.
No, the HIS one just has a special heatsink that runs quieter, and might let you overclock slightly higher than stock. It didn't even have the highest memory clock. But any 4670 w/ 1GB DDR3 will play equal with or better than the GT240.

Not necessarily.

The asus one he listed is quite nice

EDIT: But since you can go around the $100 range, why not consider a 4770?

Yea I just checked it out and saw, but there seem to be some reviews on it saying that fan died out on the people.
So far it seems that the Radeon is winning, I'll give it maybe 2-3 more days till I decent which one I wanna get. =D

really? why wait, its obvious that the gddr3 gt 240 loses to the cheaper 4670, so what do you need to decide on? I have a 4670 that i got open box for half what you are paying, and it performs amazingly.

You never know when things may turn around.
These cards are not mid range....and are you sure your PSU can push any these gpu's?

I would opt for something like the 4770 if you are wanting to squeeze into the mid range market...with all of the cards out now i see mid range being the 260GTX/4870 area...these can be had for cheap atm
I vote for this card.

But there are 4850s going for around $80 used that will trounce a 4670. For $5 more you should seriously consider it.
