ATI 5750/5770 and Win7 64bit

So I'm looking for a straight answer. I'm going to build an i5-750 system in the next couple of weeks running Win7 64bit. I was planning on using a 5750 or 5770 ATI card in it. But recently I read some comments that Win7 64bit drivers for ATI cards are pretty bad, some people switching to NVidea because of it. Is this the case for most everyone or just a few people?

Thanks
Michael

They probably installed it wrong or something, the drivers work and if you have enough common sense to install the driver for your specific card for your specific os including 64 and 32 bit, then you will be pleased with your card.
nope I've got two 5770s and no problem what so ever
The drivers are fine.

I've installed every 5xxx series card on windows 7 personally, and they all work perfect.
I had no issues with the Win7-64Bit drivers, going all the way back to the betas. They are in their second generation now with 9.11, although they targeted stability issues this time around, not gaming performance.
Thanks everybody! This helps a lot in confirming my build plans.
i have no issues at all and i'm using 64bit win7 ultimate

The problems with card are well documented mate, some people are fine however plenty on these board and Amd get the 2d crash error's. im still awaiting a mail from AMD if have acknowledged teh problem or i shuould rma them. There are far too many people with the same problem for it to be user error's and mine a defo not
Great cards in 3ds apps though!
