This doesnt have very much info, but it tells the name of the series "Southern Islands" and it looks like they're sure, if not positive that the cards will be built on a 40nm manufacturing process

There is also this source, but ive never seen it before so i dont know if it's credible. If it is that would give us a lot of info. Can anyone verify?

donanimhaber is on the up and up. i've seen them cited quite a few times

I am reading (rumors at this point) some of the new ATI 6000 cards will include a 28nm GPU (called Southern Island). A GPU with this type of architecture will likely provide much cooler temps. The first ATI 6000 cards released will still likely be the 40nm GPU's (called Northern Island) and run at standard 55-80c temps, but a couple of sources state that the Southern Island cards could run much much cooler!

Other "Source"

From what I heard the 7000 series will use the 28nm chips, although it has been said that the 6000 is a stepping stone for the 7000 series, so I wouldnt be too surprised to see a 28nm chip at the end/mid of the 6000 series... although then again, as a company it might be in their best interest to hold out for the next series for a smaller chip.
