Will an ati 7700 graphics card improve performance in a workstation build:-

i7 3770k
8gb ram
MSi gaming mobo
1tb seagate hdd

For rendering in 3ds max, photoshop etc?

Hi there,

Actually if what you want is reliability and you will earn money from your work, I think is best for you to look into a Pro GPU, since they will give you more performance and stability in those softwares.

the 7700 will work with your rig, but like I said for working purposes it's not ideal, you should get a much powerful gaming GPU card like the 7950 or a good Pro GPU Card, if you are on a budget you can look into the FirePro v7900 which is based on the HD 7870 gpu chip, this will last you a good time

until you save for a new one.

You can also check the new line of Pro GPU, but they are expensive.

From experience I only use workstation grade GPU for my workstation because of those things
