I'm curious how these to cards compare. The HD 4200 is an onboard on my new asus mobo, and the 9600 is an old card I have laying around. Which one is going to be better. Thanks in advance!

The 9600GSO, either version [96sp or 48sp], is much better.

9600 for sure. But if you are going to use it to only surf the net and watch videos ,i would use the onboard , since it uses a lot less electricity and does the job just as well .

The 9600GSO will destroy any integrated graphics, but if you do get a 'GSO, get one of the ones with 384mb of memory and 96SPs, they're faster than the 512mb/48sp version
