This is everything I did to get the ati card to render the graphics and the nvidia card to do the gpu accelerated physx.

This is done on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 FINAL, but should work on all builds of windows 7. I haven't tested it on xp but it supposedly works on it too.

1. Have the ati card installed in the pci-e slot 1 and the nvidia card in the pci-e slot 2.

2. Have the vga, dvi or hdmi cable plugged into the ati card to the monitor, have no cord plugged into the nvidia card, it just needs to be in the slot.

3. Install the 191.07 Nvidia drivers, http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

4. Install the Physx Patch/Mod, http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/1...html#post82812

5. RESTART

6. Right click on the desktop, go to screen resolution. Under Multiple displays click extend these display's then apply. Set the Nvidia card to vga device, it will still work even though it's not plugged into the monitor. Then drag the #2 display to the bottom right corner of display #1, this way you won't be dragging programs off the screen to another screen that's not really there. LOOK AT THE PICTURES.

7. Then right click on the desktop, click nvidia control panel, then simply enable physx.

8. Download and run fluidmark (physx benchmark) to see if it's working. http://www.geeks3d.com/20090723/phys...postfx-update/

9. Enjoy your physx games
All physx games I tested work fine.

You still haven't done a review of your co-op.

If you really want this to be a sticky, I'd run through an check all capitalization errors as well as getting screen shots of every step. For guides, bolded/larger/different colors fonts to show organization are useful. You could also use the list tag if you wanted.

[ list ]
[ * ]Type something here...
[ * ]Some more if you want...
[ /list ]

Leave out the spaces and it looks like this:
  • Type something here...
  • Some more if you want...

How effective is this during gaming? Do frames increase or are the physics just more fluid?

In many games your framerate will go up a little. In a few games, you'll see your framerate go up a reasonable amount and you'll get more effects. The second point is seen in hardware accelerated PhysX games.

Those games can be seen here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_physxgames_home.html
