Hiya...i recently bust one of the RAM chips on my 6600 gt AGP and seeing as im putting together a new A64/PCI-E system didnt want to spend cash on a decent AGP card to last a month or so...i been lucky in getting hold of a soft-moddable radeon 9500np for £20 and all went good..8 pipes unlocked,no sign of damaged ones, stuck the zalman vf700 from the 6600gt onto it and ive got it running at 350/320 which is above 9700 pro stock speeds...at higher speeds than these (359/326 or so) im getting serious artifacts with ATI tool but running 3D mark 03 everything is aok...which is the better to go with? ati tool or 3D?In 3D mark at 359/326 no sign of any flaws at all.Using catalyst v 5.13 drivers.......something else...game i play most is Operation Flashpoint-love it...this card and these drivers much better for it than the 6600gt was..lol £140 i paid for that thing new. Many thanks,Regards.

Best way to test artifacs is playing a new 3d shooting game like bf2. If you see no artifacs on bf2 than your card is artifact free for sure. Ati tool has a very poor artifact test.

Ati tool stresses the card THE MOST so like 3dmark is more like what you would encounter in gaming while ati tool makes sure your card is completly stable.
