I'm considering overclocking my vid card, but I wanted to get a aftermarket cooling for it. Could you guys suggest one? I currently have the stock cooling, plus a PCI slot "extra" exahust fan right underneath my vid card. thanks!

Also, I am brand new here and was wondering what the best way to overclock my vid card would be? How far could I go and still be stable?

welcome to the forums! the zalman vf700-alcu and cu are both very nice coolers, you could also use an artic silencer. as for the overclock use ati tool or ati tray tool has a few more options.

My X800XT clocks to 545/600 on stock cooler, so you should be able to push some good clocks with the fatality cooler.

i wouldnt advise getting the zalman, simple because it will cerculate air around your case, i would u brought a artic cooling hsf,

the x800 series fan will be your best solution as it pumps the air straight out the back of your case

well I just ordered a zalman, I do have one of those pci vent coolers, so I can put that thing under the vid card.

Is there anything I can do boost the performance of my card? I have an ATI brand X800XT PE. can I flash the bios to and 850?
