*ATTENTION* Measurements Requested!

I am looking for measurements from those who have water cooled their graphics card. Even if you have not, but you know someone who has, pressure them to do this for me.

I will need the following information:
1: Name of water block. Be specific. I would much prefer "MAZE4GPU Low Profile" to "MAZE4", or "Silverprop Fusion HL" to "Silverprop".
2: Name of GFX card.
3: Type of tubing. I am looking specifically for ID, OD, and wall thickness.
4: What you use to fasten the tubes. IE: Worm Drives, Zip Ties, Plastic Clamps
5: THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART: I need the distance between your PCB, (Preferably the RAM chips if you can), to the bottom of your tube*. I have included a picture that illustrates what I want. Also, please measure with you clamps/zipties on! NOTE: The picture was taken with the absence of tubing. If you can measure like this, then that is fine. Just give me that measurement AND your tube wall thickness. Please post distances in MM, and if you can, include inches.
6: If you have RAMsinks, and they are touching or very close to touching the tubing, please tell me their dimensions and/or their name. If they are not touching or not close at all, measure like I have suggested above, or include their information and give the me distance between the top of the 'sinks and the bottom of the tubing.

* I will ask you to underestimate/round down if you cannot give me the exact measurement. IE, if it seems to be about 5/8, tell me 1/2.

Thusfar, here are the measurements:
DD MAZE4: 11mm(7/16"), 12.7mm(1/2"), 20mm(4/5")
DD MAZE4 Brass: 10mm(2/5")
SilverProp Fusion HL: 12.7mm(1/2")
PolarFlo Tt: 10.5mm(3/8")

I'll get on this for you. I have a MAZE 4 sitting around and a SilverProp Fusion HL on the way. The measurements will be on a BFG 7800GT with 1/2"ID 5/8"OD.

Thanks. This will help me a lot. In the mean, time, if anyone else belongs to any other PC forum, start asking around please. Help is always appreciated.

Hey Sun, hope this helps you out.

DD MAZE4 GPU on a Sapphire X800GTO2

With 3/4 OD tubing with hose clamps, it comes to about 1/2", perhaps a little over.

Thanks.
New info, you just reminded me.
Measure with clamps/zipties on please!

Zipties, sorry. Hose clamps should be the same so long as the clamp part is facing opposite the RAM.
I just thought of something else. If you have RAMsinks under the tubing, and they are touching or almost touching the tubing, give me their dimensions, or their model number. If they are not touching the tubes, please measure either what I have suggested before, or tell me the distance between to top of the RAMsinks to the bottom of the tubing, along with their name/model.
So it looks like with the MAZE 4 I've got about 7/16" and with the SilverProp HL I've got about 1/2". Actually it's 3/4"OD & I'm using those plastic clamps.

Wow, that quite a bit of space. I expected it to be much less.

You and Burn are making my day.

BTW, if anyone can contact nVidia, (I can't, they don't answer their phone
, I don't have a nVidia card, and their email ([email protected]) does not work.), please PM me. I even contacted XFX, BFG, and Leadtek. Thusfar, XFX has answered 3 emails from me, BFG and Leadtek have yet to relpy to the first. Guess who I'll buy from if I get an nVidia card.

Me:
6800GS AGP
Danger Den Maze 4 GPU regular acetal waterblock
1/2" ID tubing 5/8" OD with wormdrive hose clamps
OCZ Aluminum BGA RAMsinks
1/6" inbetween the hose on the barbs (with the wormdrive part facing twards the bottom of my case) and the RAM with the RAMsinks on, and 4/5" inbetween the bare RAM and the hose on the barbs with the wormdrives on.
Hope that helps.

i can measure from the bottom of the barbs to the bottom of the waterblock, but not to the ram chips - i have a full cover block installed on my card right now

email such manufacturers such as danger den and ask them the height - they should be willing to give you that measurement, and maybe even full schematics of the block

That might work, but the idea is to get a real world measurement. Not only are there measuements of the barbs to bottom of the block, but then there are different hose thicknesses, diameters, and so on. Plus, you have the worm drives or zipties. The height of the core and the height of the memory chips also play a big role. I could try to email DD, Swiftech, Silverprop, PolarFlo, etc, but I have my hands full trying to get info from nVidia.
And sorry about PMing you though, I forgot you had a full cover block.

ok no one else seems to have the polarflo tt series gpu block so here we go.
x800gto2 with 1/2 id, 3/4 od tubing and a zip tie. i have 7/16 between pcb and hose/zip tie. about 3/8 between ram and zip tie and with zalman (blue) ramsinks right under the tube there is about 1/16 clearance (it would be more like 1/8 but the tube is bending up). let me know if you need any other dimensions. its this block if you need clarification, works well too.

Any one else? Is there anyone with a Swiftech block, etc?
Come on, we are doing very well so far.

1. DD Maze4 Brass top (regular profile)
2. eVGA 7800GTX 256Mb
3. Tygon 3603 1/2" ID/ 5/8" OD
4. Metal worm driven clamps (they work suprisingly well on my Maze4 compared to everything else)
5. appx. 10mm (give or take a few mm) with the tubing on

I think I see where you're getting at. I've used just about all the ramsinks out there. The common ones (OCZ & Vantec that is... Zalmans are 13x13x13 and 13x13x6) generally measure 16mm(L) x 13mm(W) x 9(H)mm. They fit underneath no problem, all except the monster ramsinks from frozencpu which are 20x20x15. I've tried 'em all, and if you wanna save yourself from the headaches then IMO just get the OCZs and call it a day. My

Will update soon.

Come on people, I know I PMed more people than this.

It is coming along very good so far, do not let it die!
By the way, I just received Snerp's Silverprop, and I noticed something I never thought of. The inner diameter of the barbs does not measure 1/2" at all, and I though that 1/2" ID meant 1/2" Inner diameter. Is this a common thing? Is it because the tubes have to fit snugly over the barbs? (Which are much closer to 1/2")
Another update, I will ask for measurements in SI and imperial (that is, mm and inches) from now on. Notice that I have converted the info that was already given. It just makes it easier for me to visualize the information.
Anyway, keep the information coming in.
