Im very new to XBMC and HTPC's and have built a machine for the purpose of watching my DVD's from the hard drive (mkv format). I think I have a settings issue, the playback with the audio and video are not in-sync
The audio and video are out of sync around 45-60 seconds into the playback

Here are the spec of the machine
Windows 7 32 bit
AMD Atholon X2 240
2GB memory
ATI Radeon HD 4200
GA-MA785GM-US2H

XBMC version 9.11

What settings should I be looking at to correct the problem?
Is it a problem with the type or quality of the on-board video card?

Do you have a video card you could pop in there? I don't know that much about XBMC, but I would say it sounds codec related.... not sure...
Although i guess if it was a codec it would be out of sync to start and stay that way.... hmmmm

Not a codec problem usually, it sounds like and encode problem. If the video is encoded at 24fps and the audio is at 23.976fps then audio sync will get progressively worse. How is the video encoded?
