Autorun.inf With iPod

Hello. I have a 5.5G iPod (30 GB) and I want it so that when you plug the iPod into the computer via USB, that a program opens without the user choosing the program or double-clicking the drive. Any way to do this? I've looked everywhere and got as far as I can go - a user selecting the program from an Autoplay menu.

I meant, a program that's inside my iPod's HDD. In the root directory. Think of an autorun file and how to make it autorun without the user selecting a choice.
I dont think you are going to get an answer now, seing as you ticked off a good chunk of the forum. Learn to wait like the rest of us.

Uhm..

so you want to store a file in the ipod that makes it so it goes straight into itunes? Why dont you just plug it in right now, and when the autoplay menu comes up check the remember this option or something like that check box?

uh yea don't modify that autorun? what are you thinking? poke around in control panel.
Sounds like he wants a program he has placed on the ipod(not itunes) to autorun when he plugs it into a computer, possible for hacking purposes which is as fail as his attempt to get an answer.
HA HA SUCK EGGS see what happens with you dont use your manners !
No, it is not used for hacking or any other illegal purposes.

Right now, it opens up PowerDVD for some unknown reason.
I did see something in 2600 magazine talking about the same thing you are wanting to do, only this article came right out and said it was being used for nefarious purposes.

As again, my intended use is to launch a program from the iPod as soon as it is inserted into the USB drive.

And like i have said like 3 times so far, in control panel you can change what programs open by default.
To clarify, what program are you wanting to be launched? I havn't heard what program you want to be launched, which is why everyone thinks it is a virus, or malware that you want to be launched.

Also, could be due to the fact that you have only posted 14 times.
Not 14 times. Besides, the program is notepad.exe. I want notepad to open up whenever I insert my iPod. Each time I plug it in, DVD Suite comes up. It's annoying. I want the default to be notepad no matter which computer I plug it into. Be it Obama's computer or my computer. I want it to open NotePad!

The fourteen times was a reference to your total post count.

Now I'll ask another obvious question, Why?

Your reasons are your own, but since yer already in a bit of a pickle, I'm might appease us if you were to let us in on your madness methods...
