It's not long at all. It's just that it comes with the low-profile expansion slot cover attached to it, but you can use the standard-sized one that it comes with.
But use the size of the PCI-E slot to get a sense of scale. Actually, use the ports on it too. From what I can see, it's about the same size as the Xonar D1/DX and the XtremeGamer.
