"AVAMP not plugged in" Error

275 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  sev9780
I have a Sony STR-DH520 Theater Receiver, and I'm running AV from my GTX 580 through an HDMI cable. Video works fine, but when I try to enable audio it says that the device is not plugged in. When I connect it to my Alienware M18X's HDMI in everything works fine, so it's not an issue with the card. I have tried updating the HDMI audio drivers from nVidia, but I get a .dll error.

Does anyone have any experience with this that could help me?

Where are you trying to enable audio? In Nvidia control panel?
When I go u to the nvidis panel it sees the reciever and it is enabled, but when I go into the windows sound to set it as the default it says it is not plugged in. However, when I plug my M18X into the computer as a monitor for the tower, it can output sound just fine
