How do you guys compress your videos? What codec do you use? My raw AVI is 25GB for a 2 minute clip.

Ok so I exported using AE and got a 2GB file for 30sec of footage in uncompressed AVI.

Tried to encode using H.264 Blu ray in Adobe Media Encoder and got 3 files, a broken .m4v, some .xpses, and a .wav file which was the audio for the clip.

Any idea why that would happen?

You used Adobe Media Encoder. Try WinFF for MPEG-4 ASP (what most people call DivX/XviD) or x264 for H.264.

Doesn't x264 = H.264?

Anyways I did a restart and it works now apparently, although quality definitely takes a noticeable hit. What encoder gives me the best quality? I'm exporting using huufyuv loseless in after effects but I still would like file size to be maybe 1/10 the size, whereas H.264 gives me something on the range of 1/100~1/50.
