Im running the giga-byte f-5 bios on my mobo, and it seems to want to reset my memory timmings sometimes on a reboot. I had to loosen them to run my oc, but my board will reset them to 2-3-2-5 sometimes on a restart, which totally causes a system hang. Thats because it doesnt reset the fsb, just the memory timings. I have to clear the cmos and reset everything to get a boot.

Anyone know what it does this? Is it just a crappy BIOS?

It might be the gigabyte dual BIOS feature. I doubt it's a bad BIOS just a feature gone bad. I would try to disable some how the second BIOS then re-able it later after you have the correct settings.
