So, I have a pair of AKG K701s that I'm using with my Audinst HUD MX1.

I noticed a problem recently. When I plug my K701s into a source, it seems that sometimes I have to jiggle the plug around a little bit to get the sound to be right. The left side goes out sometimes. Now, it doesn't seem to be the cable, but rather the contact from the DAC to the headphones.

I tried it on another source, and I'm getting the same thing with my headphones, so it's definitely a problem with my headphones.

I tried comparing the quarter inch plug with another one that works just fine, and I can't find any difference between them. Perhaps someone has some insight on this kind of issue.

Is the only way to fix it reterminating my headphones?

Thanks a lot!
