I think these are dumb. On alot of other forum I am / have been in these questions have been banned. Because there just is no such thing. Read my quote :

So there. What do you guys think about it ? I think there should be a another rule about these kind of questions.

On alot of ther forums - airsoft for example - , people ask for the best Gas Blow Back pistol. But there just isn't. Simple.

Anyone else think the same way as I do ?

i agree the titles should be changed to...Here is what i do, what is the best mobo for my usage and go from there.
Unless it is "The best motherboard with this chipset for overclocking this processor" But I do agree. There isn't a best of anything.
Say the question is -
"what is the best out of these three"
In which case one will likely be better than the others.
TBH, those sorts of threads are easy to ignore anyway...Its just a title - just give your opinion as well as some benchmarks.
Ha.... I hate people who say "I WANT THE BEST!!!"... I offer a $15K build and then they complain it's too expensive. Learn what best means and then learn how to define parameters.

Agreed.

People are like "I want the ultimate setup"

"oh, wait, i dont have that asswad of cash yet, Ill ask the same question next year"

restrict things to like "what best suits me" or "the best options for my usage"

Well yeah that will be Ok. Whats the best gaming motherboard or something. Or , " What memory would go best with this ... ".

That's fine imo.

Well unless it's stuff like " The best CPU for ~$200"...
Unless this sort of question is accompanied with a budget I don't even bother replying.

Wrong. Rememeber overclocking ? This makes your CPU calucalte faster. Or ' better '. Plus , it depends on the whole system working together to get a good score.

You can't say , an intel E6600 with an ASUS P5B Deluxe , and kick the FSB up to 400 , then it willscore 3.5GHz. Could do. With another board , choose ant other s775 'board , might score lower then. Maybe higher.

Oh , I'm not flaming.

That's called unnecessary nitpicking and far more annoying TBH. You have to assume "default values" like stock clocks with stock cooler unless stated.
I think you all are being just a tad too legalistic.

Think about it. People come here, looking for advice. Noobs don't have any idea of your annoyance with questions or threads that sound like that. They just want to know what's the best for them.

If you just take a broad brush and ban every question that asks for the best, then you'll hurt more than you help. We're supposed to be an open community here. We don't want to turn into a bunch of Nazis and chase everyone away that annoys us.

Besides, sometimes those people legitimately want to know what everyone agrees the best stuff is. They're a noob, they don't know that there is no "best". But they want something they can brag about and show their friends without some smartass friend telling him it's junk and he should have gone ATI or something.

I say give the noobs a break quit trying to come up with more infractions for them.

I'm on the side of the noobs, because I haven't yet forgotten what it was like to be one of them. (Not that I've been around as long as Taeric, but still.)

This is a pretty 'nazi-like' suggestion. This forum isn't ran like that, and it never will be. Thats far to controlling, this isn't Cuba.

Yes it IS annoying, but suggesting we ban people from asking it is just ... well wrong.
I don't really agree because there might be people who are new on the forum and who don't know much about computers, it would just be like a slap in the face for them.
