hi, im currently shopping around 4 parts 4 a pc tht i plan 2 build, and would like to know if it would be a wise decision 2 get an athalon 64 3000+ with a clawhammer core 4 $136- only thing is tht it says oem, barebone. i know wht oem is n evrything, but wht about barebone?? if i dont get this processor should i get the newcastle core with hsf 4 $146???

Im pretty sure you still get the MFG warranty

No MFG warranty is only for retail products, oem barebones only have waranty through who ever sold it to you and it's 30 days most of the time. Trust me
I know.

AMD Retail CPU's get 3 years MFG waranty... OEM gets none

if the CPU costs over £100, regardless of if its OEM, then it gets a 1yr warrenty by law in the UK, dont know if thats the same for you in the US.
