Alrighty lookin to buy some cheap but good LAN party games that can play on wide range of computers (poop-awesome) for cheap so that everyone can just go out and buy it.. List some suggestions with links if you got'em PLZ.

how poop is poop? what sort of spec is the poooopest rig you want to LAN up, that will help alot!!!

UT2004 will play on anything with a P4 2.4ghz/512MB RAM and a 9700pro. or equivalent.

Is that higher spec than the worst PC you are networking?

so dare I say maybe CS 1.6 will also be ok

Well my bro's rig that I "upgraded" him is probably that poopyest...

Then look into UT - GOTY (or UT - 99), runs great on pretty much anything - doesnt look bad with Full AA/AF, either!

UT2004 plays ok on my p3 1ghz, 512mb pc133 and ti4200, I think thats a bit poopyier than ya bro`s rig!
no real difference in performance between 800x600 and 1024x768 really!
I used to have a hercules 3dprophet 4000xt in the rig(no pixel or vert shapers!), I could play LANed up to the rig in my sig!!

it'll play UT2004 no problem. I have played it on a P4 1.8ghz 512 ram, with onboard video which is nVidia GeForce2 GTS-V 32 MB. Ran just fine.

In believe that 2003 and 2004 use basically the same engine, only tweaked a little. So technically 2004 should run a little better than 2003 on the same machine.

The original Half-Life is also great fun, even the guys with bad computers will be able to crank up the res too. And I guess you already have halo
