Hi guys,

My mate wants me to throw something together for him to play diablo 3 on a mega tight budget, I was just wondering if this would all go together well for him.

ASrock G880 $60
1GB 6450 $39
AMD FX4100 $115
Gskill 2x2gig 1600 Ram $32
Thermaltake commander $55
Shaw Viper 1000w PSU
Phillips 21.5" LED $125

I have a spare 1tb he can have and keyboard and mouse
total price $463

Am I missing anything? and will it all work

Thanks guys

I'm pretty sure a 1000 watt psu is way past overkill and I'd think an apu setup would be better at this price range.
Don't forget a copy of windows.
I can't recommend anything since I don't really know much about parts.

i would really suggest you one thing replace the FX 4100 with APU 3670k and CF it with 6450 would give you much better GPU performance then what you have in mind it would be something like
PCPartPicker part list

CPU: AMD A6-3670K 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($109.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Motherboard: Asus F1A55-M LX PLUS Micro ATX FM1 Motherboard ($70.00 @ Foxcomp)

Memory: GeIL Enhance CORSA 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($49.99 @ Mwave Australia)

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6450 1GB Video Card ($39.00 @ PCCaseGear)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.00 @ PCCaseGear)

Monitor :125$
Total : $441.99

The A6 is an apu or cpu/gpu combo solution. You can hybrid crossfire it and up to a 6670 iirc.

True, but the inbuilt GPU isn't powerful enough to pull off the more recent games at higher resolutions. As far as the CPU goes, it can always be upgraded to future am3+ chips, thanks to the board. The APU build is fine as well. It all boils down to the OP's personal preference.

no (BASIC) rig will play todays games on high resolutions even the card in your build is a 128 bit same as the built in gpu of a A6 but by adding 1 card to the A6 you have something that will play todays games at resolutions then the card you have in your build for less money and under budget
