BC2 DX11 does not work

Update drivers! DX11 has caused problems for me since foever.. so I'm always at DX10.

I have a new build with updated drivers. I still crash I think it might be new hardware ie p67?

dx10 is tolerable but certainly not as nice as dx11. Dx11 is sharper smoother and way better aa (dx11 no aa looks way better than 8aa dx10) better shadows with more black contrast

Did you update DirectX to the latest version?

BC2 did that to me also, I needed a bump in voltage to my CPU OC. Even though I was Prime95 stable for hours, BC2 wouldn't run.

No tesselation in BC2.

BFBC2 still has better graphics under DX11, specially in the shadows and trees.

I crash in dx10 now. I reinstalled os and did every single tweak that is known and I still crash in punk servers and non servers. EA is the problem and they have no solution so the game is officially broken for alot of ppl. They say they are sorry about selling a broken game so have a free game

Try loading the game and then opening up task manger and setting the game priority to high. If that doesn't work, try setting the affinity to just one processor.

BC2 will always CTD, especially on dual gpu setups/new hardware. DICE is aware that they sold the BF franchise short with BC2. They did not expect it to be as successful as it was and did not invest as much as they should have in content and support. They say they will be redeeming this fault with BF3, as they now realize how tired of COD the console FPS people are getting. A lot of PC gamers have enjoyed BF in the past, which is why BC2 (especially the performance issues) was a bit of a disappointment.
