I'm looking at either the crucial m4 or the samsung 470 not sure which to get.

I would get the corsair one but its a steep price.

any recommendations otherwise though, also possibly the best 40gb ssd?

thanks!

Why do the speeds listed for intel SSD's seem so much lower then say the crucial m4 ones? In the sustained read and write specs.

I'm not really into these, I just have $150 laying around and want a little more juice in my system been looking to buy one for awhile but don't know every specific.

Generally Intel will be a tad more expensive just for the label and slightly better build quality. I didn't check out the M4 though, but I've heard it's a solid drive as well.

I own a c300 and I love it! I've had my drive for a while now and my reads are still at 330 or so, my pc boots up incredibly fast and just feels a lot snappier than it used to. I dont think the extra money would be worth it for the M4 seeing as how you wont be able to tell the difference unless you benchmark your drives.

Edit: Just checked and seems the M4 is cheaper than the C300 currently, possibly a sale? I change my vote for the M4 since it's about 5 or 6 dollars cheaper
