Ok,

So, I'm thinking i'll be taking advantage of the hardware I have now, and just upgrade my motherboard.

Yeah, I could go Conroe. Thats a possibility for the future.

Looks like the 3500 orleans is overclockable to an extent. i just cannot do so on my board.

So, I'm wondering out of everyone's experience. What are some good AM2 boards?

They've had so many Sli boards this past year. I just don't know what to go with.

I like Asus, had good luck with a cheap MSI, and also heard good things about DFI.

Any input is appreciated..

My ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition works insanely great...

CWELL1337 had a M2N32-SLI Deluxe (same as mine, but without wireless adapter) and he really likes his too from what I know...

I also reccommend getting some good ram, Crucial Ballistix works great and they are garunteed Micron D9GMH's... If your in U.S.A. ZipZoomFly.com has the 1GB (2x512) kit for $150...

My Favorite Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe things...
Pro's (Positives);
Nvidia nForce 590 SLI
2 GigaBit Lan
External Sata
A lot of usb ports

Great Onboard Sound (5/7/9.1 ???, with Fiber Optic sound if you want)
AM2
Great Overclockability... Super Advanced settings for everything
Easy to Setup

Con's (negatives):
Not Many
For x64 Bit you have to work on some drivers
BIOS Advanced (if noobie you could mess up
)

Sandra benchmarks? Where can i see this comparison at?

Looking at the crosshair also, but that's only if the price drops like I suspect come February time..

I've seen that DFI's are the best overcloking AM2 boards.
You want SLI?
Wireless?
CrossFire?

Nvidia Sli, as referred to in the Header.

Wireless is not a bg concern. If it has it with no slow down of the bus, fine

It's my gaming rig, so I usually hardwire it for best results. I've read a few boards with the "first packet" technology. That's great if it works.

The "First Packet" technology is in all Nvidia 570 SLI and 590 SLI boards...

For AM2 Socket I reccommend:
Asus Nvidia 570 boards -Nvidia 570 SLI-
Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe (I have and love this one) -Nvidia 590 SLI-
Asus Crosshair (Nice board, my friend has) -Nvidia 590 SLI-
DFI boards (Good overclockers like the Asus) -Nvidia 570/590 SLI-
GigaByte boards (Great boards in general) -Nvidia 570/590 SLI-
