Hello.

I am looking to by a graphics card but I am not sure what I want. U was leaning towards the 5770 but as I am not the most hardcore gamer and do some minor video editing. I do not need the newest or the greatest card.

I'd like to play Left 4 Dead 1 ,2
COD 4 , MW2
Maybe some other FPS and RPG such as Oblivion.

I might get more into PC gaming as I have not explored many games so I don't know whats good seeing as I am going from my sig rig to a Quad core XD.

Budget : $200 CANADIAN Newegg.ca

Probably the 4890 if you can find one cheap enough.
It wins in performance.
If you care about DX11 then get a 5770, but, it isn't very strong performance wise.

For the games you listed a 9800GTX will be good enough (minus AA on MW2) and would also be the cheapest route.

But if you want to push the bankroll a little farther, you can't go wrong a Radeon 4890.

The 5770s is more than good enough for an occasional gamer.

If you just want something that can play games on ok settings, but don't need high detail graphics, go for the Radeon 4670 or the 5670 when that comes out. If you want to be able to play on high or max settings the 5770 would be a good choice.

When I play games the FPS needs to be high. The 5770 looks promising sadly the only thing in stock is the egg looking HSF version. I was just looking for a way to make my build cheaper as I was hoping to replace my old NZXT zero case seeing as its a bit giant when you put a micro ATX board in it.
I suppose I will just have to live with it until I can afford the other case I want.
Thanks for the opinions / help.

5770 or a 5670(will come out in january) if want Dx11. Great performers for the price, and low power consumption is a plus(the 5670won't even need a pci-e connector). Also later on if you decide you need more performance ,you can just get another one to xfire(the scaling of the 5000series is awesome).

XFX HD 4770 - $114 on Newegg.

Perfect for the budget gamer. I play Left 4 Dead and the sequel that recently came out and it plays them both on max settings without an issue. Good card for a low price.

::EDIT:: This is before I Crossfired them too. ^^
