Best Card for around $100

so i wanna spend about $100 on a card, my 8800GTS 640MB went out on me last night and i'm running a 7800GT for now.

I see on newegg they have a recertified 8800GTS G92:

for only $104

i would guess that would be better than my old 8800GTS which was an eVGA 8800GTS SSC 640mb since that's a G92.

but then i'm also looking at the 4850 and 9800GTX, the 9800GTX seems to perform better all around than the 4850 does. Then i'm seeing the GTS250's for about the same price as the 9800GTX's.

so i'm not sure which one to go for, i would like to keep it around $100-$140 maybe, also i'd like to get one with a free game preferably Far Cry 2 seeing as how i already have CoD5.

Try to grab a 4850. The GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800 gtx or + forget which. The GTS 512 will get you similar performance to an 8800GTX btw :/ so it is a decent step up from a 320.
Get the gtx over the gts if you can get it for 85. But get the 4850 over them if you can snag one for a deal

Guys, the 4830 crushes the 8800/9800.
The GTS250 will beat the 4830, but tie the 4850 (GTS250 = 9800GTX+, GTS240 = 8800/9800)

Get a 4830, you'll be impressed, I guarantee it.

I wouldn't use the word "crush" for describing 1-5fps performance difference between the two cards

4850 has similar performance as 9800GTX+/gts250 so it is better than 8800gts 512=9800gtx. How about this 4850 and 9800GTX+
If you're talking bang for buck, and esp. if you aren't afraid to overclock, there is NO QUESTION that the best 'deal' you've described is the 8800GTX for $85, followed by the 8800GTS512 for $104. Unless you can find a 9800GTX for about 115, or a 9800GTX+ (or 4850) for about $125, those first two are the best 'deals', IMHO. And don't forget to make sure the power supply has the right plugs for the card
