I know i could run it with everything maxed out......infact i do<br />
And my fps jumps between 120 - 200 average and 300 in closed spaces (indoors ect.)<br />
<br />
But i want to OC my card and so im not sure whether to put everything on medium. What do you guys use?<br />
<br />
Thanks<br />
<br />
Also, would the max settins limit my OC because of more strain on the gpu?

</div>If you leave your settings that same, your performance will go up by a good ammount. Overclocking will run the GPU <i>faster</i>, but will not put more stress/load on it. How you have your games set will have no effect on how you overclock.

I can run CSS maxing out everything except AA, which I run at 2x but only because I sometimes play zombiemod, otherwise I could keep it at 4x and still get good performance in normal CSS

This question does not make any sense, if you can max out everything and get between 100-200 FPS then overclocking will get you even higher. Since 60 FPS is smooth to the eyes then getting over 200+ FPS would be even better. Setting the graphics to medium would boost you into the 300 FPS range which would be worthless.

Yer true, but i thought max settings would limit the OC (more stress quicker artifacts) but however thats not the case......only just found out. <br />
<br />
And i wanted to OC my gpu and my cpu to see what benchies i could get. <img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" />

what would be the pint of overclocking if you lowered settings? *****.<br />
<br />
Raise the overclock and some games may even let you run HIGHER settings.<br />
<br />
Just make sure it doesn't artifact in ATITool.<br />
<br />
Yes, I said ATITool.

I think I get what you are saying... don't run the card at full load so you can run it at unstable high speeds? I wouldn't recommend it.
