if you're willing to go over the budget a little bit, then definitely go with a 22"...take advantage of that gpu!

It's resolution...not screen size

1680x1050 is 1680x1050, no matter how physically big the monitor is. Unless you're talking about a 1080p 22" monitor.

How tight is your budget? There is a matter of tax, shipping and possibly a recycling fee. Might add up to $40+

Serious:Last Game monitor on Newegg

or any 2ms monitor that have the least ghosting since all TFT have ghosting...
want a lcd not a crt lol =/

how woud the hanns-g 22inch monitor do?
get a 22" 1920x1080 resolution. Then you get the 22" size but a nice big resolution to take advantage of the card. However, the cheapest 22" 1920x1080 I found was $180 so that may be out of your price range.

But honestly if I were you, I would save up and buy a 24", with that graphics card it will make it so worth it. I plan on getting a 24" and a gtx 285 just like you.
i think that hanns-g one you linked looks pretty good, although personally i still prefer the asus or acer
