I am currently running on the Forceware 197.03 drivers and was wondering is there a better set of drivers out there? as WoW wont let me use certain options in video options and i am getting lag or something when i play L4D online so was thinking that maybe its not internet lag but lag because of my driver

What would be the best driver to get?

Latest driver set

nVidia cards rarely have any issues per driver set like ATi cards do every now and then.

Grab 266.58 and run

Win 7 x64
Win 7 x86

Well.. I do have some issues like my screen colours messing up sometimes.. and one of my cards crashing with drivers installed.. but working fine on another motherboard..

Here is a review of driver performance over the last year (i think 4 were tested). The latest are overall the best though so go for those.

great thanks, anything in particular i should do when removing my current drivers and installing the new ones? the last time i did a driver change was when i went from a 5850 to my 470 so had to run driver sweeper, is that required here as well?

I have a GTX 460, but I can tell you that in my experience the best driver (I still haven't tried the latest one) is the 258.96. Absolutely impeccable!

Nope, just install it and you're good to go.
It will replace the old drivers.

Just run the latest driver installer tick click "clean install" and it will install them by removing all the profiles first. Should be fine.

I've been running the 266.58 drivers. Haven't had a hiccup yet

I'd definitely try them out if you haven't yet.

how about the 270.15 beta drivers?
from munaim1's review it seems the 270's seem quite good as well

i actually love the beta 270 drivers,

mafia two used to have bad hiccups on the 266 drivers,

before i had 69fps maxed 1680*1050 (phyx off)
now i'm getting 110 fps maxed
