***READ FIRST***

No flaming, bashing, amd/BD OR suggesting intel in this thread.

Okay now, it looks as though Asus and Gigabyte's bios/uefi's are hindering performance of the FX series. Will a fix be made, im not sure. Sooooo. Im looking around at other brands, particularly MSI and AsRock.

But i want more insight. What is the best, current, motherboard for the FX series CPU's? I've seen people saying the AsRock Fatal1ty 990FX. And it seems that way, i just want some more guided thoughts and maybe some knowledge that i don't have.

As for this moment i think the ASRock Extreme 4 990FX is the best choice and great price.

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7 showing very good results with FX 8150 here:

not enough review on FX 8120 : S
Im between the ASRock Extreme 4 and the Gigabyte UD7 lol. Its a tough choice!

I'd still go with the ASRock. Never been a fan of Gigabyte boards

Impossible to say now we know the BIOS's are still very unpolished. I'll stick with my board which will only get better beyond the current BETA 0810 released the end of September. Running great for me so far at 4.6 GHz.

Im going with the ASRock 990FX Fatal1ty. Seems to be one of the best boards out there, and for a decent price.

Yea, kinda hate the whole Fatal1ty scheme, but it wont matter. My case doesn't have a window! And the "Fatal1ty Gaming Gear" on the Northbridge will be covered up by my sound card anyway. I don't mind the rest of it.
