I can't decide between a bloodrage or the GENE..
atx or microatx..

which is better in your opinion and why? It'll help me decide which case i'll be using as well so the choice is fairly important. I'll be going a danger den 16 if GENE and a cmstacker 830 Nvidia edition if bloodrage. Both will be using a wcing setup though i'm still figuring out how to fit one fully in the Danger Den 16 case.

bloodrage great looks, price and performance, especially if you want to get watercooling, I got 4723mhz with my i7 920, I oculd go higher but past 225 blk you need to do a hardware mod

what do you run 24/7? I'm just looking for 4.0-4.1

My Bloodrage oc's beautifully however the GENE I ran before it wasn't stellar. The Bloodrage is well worth the money.
bloodrage is fantastic.
running 4.3ghz stable 24/7 on mine.
It's been solid for me.
Plus, watercooling right out of the box = kick ass
My northbridge runs 35C and the mosfets are barely warm to the touch.
Gives me some peace of mind.
If you're going to watercool, then BR since it comes standard with water NB watercooling. But if I had to do it over again, I would go with a matx, kind of regret getting the BR because now I want to downsize to a portable LAN case and they're all mATX.

dangerden has a pretty small mid tower case I was considering.

Also.. bought my bloodrage just 10 minutes ago. I know where 4 still are ...

If you just want to get to 4.0 on a bloodrage, you may be able to do it on stock volts. When I started overclocking the bloodrage, I started with upping all my volts following the quick and dirty guide here, but found that it was kind of unstable. After playing with it some, I found that I was more stable when I reduced everything to stock volts and just up FSB to 191.

i'm unsure on which route i'll go for now, my problem is I ended up with an A batch and while I know some A batches went fairly well, I haven't seen anyone with my exact batch doing wonderful on them.. so i'm a little so/so on it thus far lol.

From what I hear, A/B batch thing really only apply to Chips made last year i.e.38xx chips. Those made this year 39xx, are all about the same and not as good as last year model, but all should be able to hit 4.0 easily.

Bloodrage is king. I went from my bloodrage to the 759 classified then back to the bloodrage. I also did the pci-e mod and can easily get 231 BCLK. I get my phase unit back soon and I can try getting higher.
the place I ordered mine from apparently didn't have them in even though they listed 5 and the one I just tried to buy on here ended up selling to someone else infront of me. I'm about to just give my i7 920 away to a family member and go back to car audio, I have never had so much trouble getting a stupid mobo no matter the price I was willing to pay.

ugh.
Screw your family, hook me up with that i7. I'll be your family.
