I've been debating my choice for an upgrade for awhile now and had previously decided that I was going to go with a 3700+ and a dfi lanparty ultra-d (which i was going to mod to sli)

I hesitated on the decision and decided to wait it out a little bit... However, I've decided now that I'm going to give this computer to my dear ol granny (I'm serious) minus the x1600pro which ill sell off for cash...

So here's my delima: with the recent price drop on the opty 165, I've decided to go dual core using this as my cpu... however, that also changes my previous choice of the lanparty ultra-d since it doesn't support x2s.... now I need help on which motherboard to get that supports sli, dual core, has decent overclocking options, and is around or (preferably) under $100
Thanx for the help in advance guys!

(i now also have a dfi lanparty sli bridge sent to me by jrabb that i have no use for... sorry i didn't put it to use jrabb , ill be sure to follow in your footsteps though and give it to someone who needs it )

but you're not using a dual core cpu... and i could have sworn the dfi lan party ultra-d only supported single core (the lanparty that does support x2s is like, $150)

I didn't realize it up until now, but that board doesn't support dual core.... Sorta forgot to add that to my highlighted section of neccesities, but i edited it in just now

Anyways, after a bit of thought, I might go with a dfi lan party UT nF4-D: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136159

seems like a step backwards from the ultra d i was going to get, but appearantly it can be modded to support sli and sataII: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11400

I guess this means I'll be able to use jrabbs sli bridge after all....

Does this seem like a good plan? any suggestions for otherwise? sorry for the double post
