putting together some prices for a future build and i was wondering what CPU could i get the best performance and will overclock very far. (price will be no issue)

I wouldn't get the dual core opty if you want to OC, look at the 146 or 148 with a decent stepping, they are an easy 2.8GHz+

And I don't think his mom would let him get a FX60..

Pinkey, ill take your old one for 5 bux and use it as a paper weight

Just make sure you make it yourself and make sure your mobo has the right cipset for you're pentium d processor

my current list is here.
.....if i get that it should last my till 08.....although alot of things may change.....with price falls and new products being released

Didn't work for me, try taking a SS of it or somehing like that. And trust me pink, you will want to upgrade before 2k8

if you are getting an opteron, dont worry about the stepping...they all perform very similarly......people will say stay away from the CABGE stepping, but those are so rare, I dont remember the last time i even saw one...not sure if I even have.

Don't waste your time with a Plextor dude, their ******ed expensive and they do the same damn thing anything else does. Go with Lite-on, very good stuff and a DVD/CD burner is like 40 bucks!

And also, stay away from the FX-60. I persoanally think it's a waste. All it is is a 4400X2 with an unlocked multi.

that list needs alot of work.....and let someone else put it together for you....once I read the memory choice, i almost fell off my chair...
Get more advice from other people who know what they are doing...
