Best route to upgrade with a sub $650 budget?

I've gotten tired of getting low fps with my i5 750 and radeon 6670 build so I've been looking to upgrade the cpu and gpu, as well as the mother board. The only catch is that since I own the corsair 350d, an matx only case, I'm limited to mAtx motherboards. My PSU is a seasonix X650 btw.

This is what I've been able to put together. Oh, I plan on getting an sli-capable motherboard for future proofing

. My goal is to build a rig that can last another 3 years, which is how long my current rig has lasted me.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($229.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($249.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $661.96

I second this, but dont get the 770, get a 7970. Cheaper, faster, stronger, better.

What about this then?
CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($77.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($399.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $662.97

I'm not sure about AMD, how are the drivers / crossfire performance nowadays?
-AMD version

CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($77.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($329.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $672.96
That i5 would bottlneck any high end cfx/sli
However, it would work really well with a high-end single GPU setup. You should save the CPU&Mobo money for when you need to upgrade it due to a bottlenecking situation... That way, you will get the best out of your money.
4670k- $230
Gigabyte Z87-D3H- $115
HIS IceQ x2 7970- $315

Total- $660

All from newegg. You really should spend a bit more for the unlocked CPU and Z87 board for some OCing goodness. Then pick up a cooler in a month or whenever you can afford it.
i think you're going backwards, iirc haswell non Ks are locked down with no BCLKing or adjusting the turbo boost as you can do with sandy/ivy.

at the risk of beating a dead horse get better cooling and an excellent gpu. with socket 1156/5/0 being the same you can carry both the cooling and gpu to the next build. since most games are gpu bound, you will see an enormous improvement on your gaming with an upgrade of what you have now and won't catch a bottleneck but in a few games.
I think I'm just going to pick up the cpu and mobo now and then wait for the volcanic island gpus to come out later this year, what do you guys think? I use water cooling for my i5 750, could I use the same waterblock on 1150??
I agree with picking up a GPU later, that's exactly what im planning to do. what water cooler do you currently have installed?

EDIT: I would also recommend the Asus Gryphon Z87 since you have a mATX case like i do.
yes, the 1150 is the same size (where the brackets fit) as the 1155/6.
Theres a sapphire 7950 3l for 175 after you go through a few steps that would blow away what you have and not kill your cpu/mobo budget

http://www.overclock.net/t/1420091/newegg-sapphire-100352-3l-radeon-hd-7950-3gb-200-ar-or-178-w-v-me

and its a dual fan model so ocing should bring you past a stock/mild oc gtx 760 level of performance.

seems like those are sold out :/. I think I'll just get the 7970, and 4670k and port over my loop since they're compatible
