Well Basically I need a new soundcard, I just went out and bought some new headphones (AKG K81DJ's) and my onboard sound card has static and just is not pushing these hi-fi headphones enough, Im on a tight budget ATM, I dont need surround sound or anything, just something with a good crisp clear sound for music and headphone use. Thanks
I got my Audigy2 ZS used off ebay for $40 shipped. Best deal so far. If you can find an audigy 4 for a tad more, its probably your best bet.

Comb your local electronics shops for . . . just about anything. Nothing's worse than on-board sound, after all. The best performing budget cards available right now are the Creative SB Audigy SE and the Chaintech AV-710. Both are under $30 and infinitely better than on-board sound.

yeah, you don't need much to drive those cans, they're only 32Ohm if I recall.

but they are a great selection! AKG k81dj's sound good, and are very sensitive to an EQ so you can get them to sound how you like. They are a little bass heavy, but give them time and they'll tighten up. I recabled mine and it helped as well.
You also might want to consider using them as portable cans. they don't have a wide soundstage and thus are not good for gaming, but they make great portable cans (which is what I use mine for) they pair well with a PA2v2 headphone amp, or a PINT, PPAS or other higher priced amp, but for the money the PA2v2 or a PIMETA would probably be the way to go.

Ya I just don't want this fuzzy sound when there is silence. I'm def considering getting a portable amp, from what I hear they rock

Mine are tight on my head and giving me a headache, they do that to you at first. And yea def. crazy bass. I like though. So much better than reg old headphones.

DO you mean use amp for PC or for portable? And yes I got these mainly for music on my pc and Ipod also.
