Best tool to grind down alumnium in the back of my case?

369 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  lohoutlaw
Ok, In the summer when I had watercooling, I cut a rectangle shaped cut out in the back of my case for my w/c pipes to run out to my rad, I used electrical wire to the keep the edges smooth, but now that I've sold my w/c for a while now, I would like to smother down the sharp edges from where I cut it out with plyers. Can anybody recommend a good tool to do this with?

Also, is there anyway to buff scratches out of alumnium, like in the bottem of my case?

The tool mentioned above (dremel of course), but if that is too much cash a simple fine file will do well.

Well I think my dad has a nice dremel I can use, I'm not sure about what attachments though.

Well i used a hole say ((1")) to cut mine and used 2 valve cover grommets to insulate my hose going thru case.

Another thought! Try using some universal door edge gaurds
