Hi guys, so my third Xbox crapped out on me so I've decided to go PS3 this time. I'm aware that the PS4 is coming out later this year but I'd like to have a console for now. I'm kinda confused on the different versions of the console, so which one do I get if I want the most "up-to-date" one? Thanks!

Thanks, after a bit more Googling and a visit to the Sony site I figured it out. I got confused because the older version is still listed on Amazon. I ended up getting the Uncharted 3 bundle.

The most reliable model was PS3 FAT 40gb CECHG04 (after 4years it still working without any service, and now add the fact that sometimes my brother was playing GTAIV on it for 5-6 hours a day)

Using the Super slim, it's really quiet and tiny, looks pretty good with rest of equipment in the lounge. Best PS3 imho.

160GB PS3 Slim is the best. Looks far better than the newest slim. Actually looks like you're paying money for something decent. Then there's little chance of YLOD.

Best thing, front located HDD bay, easy to swap, and the console is easy to take apart and clean.

Currently have a 500GB WD Scorpio blue drive in mine. It's good!
