best video card < $100

I'm building a budget system, and need a video card that's in the $75-$100 range. The guy I'm building for plays mostly older games, like hl-2. Any suggestions? It can either be Amd or Intel, what ever offers the best bang for the buck

Another vote to 4830. A 110w GPU that matches 9800GT.

4830.. unless you can find a cheaper used 4850..

otherwise the 4830 mentioned by "Auld" is the choice.. keep in mind sapphire warranty service is a little lame because you have to pay $15 to RMA which includes filing paperwork and shipping the card back to you.. not to mention.. shipping to their facility..

i'd get the PNY Verto GeForce 9600 GT, and SLI it.

Wait for the HD4750. I think it is coming in early April. Guru3D did benchmark on an engineering sample.

Thanks guys, I was looking at the 4670:

So the 4830 would be a better choice then? I will go with that then if it's a better deal.

yep. it's definately a better deal. for just $20 more, you'll get more than 50% performance. i even think almost twice the performance
