Best Way to Flush/Rinse My Loop?

821 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  jacobroufa
I just looked into my case and saw that I have stuff in my reservoir...looks like dust particles. What's the best way to flush out my system? Should I just use distilled water, or something else?
I was thinking about getting a big bucket (or something that can hold a lot of water) and filling it with distilled water and let the pump suck out of that, letting it flow through the entire system and having it run down the drain.
Is that a good idea? I'm open to suggestions

Thanks in advance!

If you havent actually put the rig together and you tend on cleaning the parts, Vinegar and distilled water is the way to go, make sure not to leave it in the components to long or it will eat the inside out
If you already have the loop running and tend to clean it out for fresh distilled or a new dye, take out the outlet on the cpu block, place it in a bucket and turn on the pump till it drains out, fill up with fresh distilled and let it run, keep repeating till its clean

Why should I be using vinegar to rinse my loop? Also, if I use vinegar, how many times will I have to rinse everything to get it out...twice for 30 minutes?

Is it better to rinse each component individually, or can I do the whole loop at once?
If you have crud in it I'd tear it down and clean it, if you just flush it that crud might end up in your block and rad, it's probably already in your block.

I'll leave you my cleaning and set-up PDF.
