ok so I recently got my A64 3000+ to 2.45 ghz

I was going through my bios to see if I could make it faster and I came across my Memory speed or something

I remembered I had set to to 166 instead of 200 because Someone advised me to when I first started overclocking

So I bumped my Cpu down to 2.3 and raised my memory to 200 and upped its V to 2.8

I get booted and I think I'm stable

what I am asking is should I leave it at 200 with a 2.3mhz oc or should I go back to the 166 and 2.45

which will give me better performance

I'm downloading Aqua right now to test but I want to know what you think

In your settings is your RAM 1:1 ratio when its at 200.

On the DFI boards if we set it at 200 its then a 1:1 ratio and will clockup with our FSB.

If its a yes then the better performance would actually be the 2.3 with the RAM in a 1:1 ratio.

If its a no and your FSB is higher anyway than your RAM then you should try and get it into a 1:1 ratio.

I have found that AMD64 has better performance in 1:1 ratio with RAM.

I have tested my CPU FSB upto 300MHz using different multis and ratios to keep my RAM at 250... Even though my FSB was at 300 and RAM at 250 my performance dropped below stock when benching.

Keep your FSB the same as the ram speed. No dividers.
