I gotta rant somewhere, may as well be here...

Maybe it's only me...But I doubt it...

Why is it that I can empty an entire clip into these guys and yet they headshot with a SAW, a SAW for christs sakes...

I can never get a headshot with a sniper rifle and yet these guys can get a headshot with every single freakin weapon...

And I don't wanna hear keep practicing you'll get there too...That's crap...

Unfortunately this game so for unrealistic it's pitiful...I mean jumping around like a complete moron but turn around and insta headshot...Garbage...

I'm sorry to be brash, but that is the way it is. Every game is different, especially in the FPS genre, and you can't expect to just waltz in and be "teh pwn" without working at it.

BF2 is a lot harder than a lot of other FPS's(that I've played at least). When I first started my KDR during the first three ranks was probably 1:30. I eventually just kept playing and now I'm 1:1 at everything and slowly getting better.

Practice or ****.

lol I know what your talking about, its like friggin magic. One on one I would lose the majority of the time.

BF2142 is a lot easier for some reason and I consistently rank in the top 5 or higher out of say 40. Although there are some magicians as well.

I'm not saying anything about "teh pwn" which is dumb every time I see it...But get real...And I not saying the other games are easier but a tad more realistic...I do find it funny that at 300 yards or so a SAW can out shoot a Sniper rifle...

But unless you've actually fired any of those weapons it would seem just fine I spose...Yeah we ran around Afghanistan jumping with a saw then turned and insta killed the Taliban...lol...I understand it's just a game but...well w/e

I understand what he means. It is frustrating but they're right: practice makes perfect or at least better. Someone like me who doesn't have 4 hours a day to play will never be at the level that some of these junkies are but that's just the way it goes. I take comfort in the fact that I'm at work earning the bucks while they're "practicing".

I know right...I wish I had the hours to put into a video game that some of these people do...Real life always comes first tho, or at least it should...

I won't quit tho, I just have to come to the realization that I will ALWAYS suck at BF2 lol...I may never get promoted in a game but only have 6 yrs left in the REAL Army...

i totally agree with thread starter.

i play AA which is more realistic than anything ea games has ever put out.

i bought BF2 when it came out, and uninstalled it 2 says later.. my 50bucks layin in a box somewhere.

I know what you're going through, and it happens to me all the time. Seems like I can dang near empty a clip into some guys back, and he turns around and smokes me with a couple of shots. What really ticks me off is spawning, taking a couple of steps, and getting drilled without even seeing where the coward is. Oh well, I don't let it get me down. If I get too frustrated I switch it over to single player on "easy" and just rape the AI dudes for a while. That's always good for a laugh.

Otherwise, I love the game, and I don't really give a rip what other players think. Some nerds take the game way too seriously, and I just have to shake my head at them. After all, it's just A GAME.

I do think it'd be more fun if there were servers that only allowed players up to a certain rank to be on them. That way the fighting might be more "equal".

i agree too. in most instances of playing BF2 it can take alot of your fire to actually hurt an enemy. atleast from a distance. in BF2 i find it increasingly unlikely to get a headshot or killings of the sort.

however in COD it is much more realistic. I play COD: united offensive online almost every day for about 3 years and with a good old springfield rifle you can get the headshots. but realistically. and if you pile a round of bullets into an enemy they will die realistically too. thats why i like COD so much. the physics and health-meters are honest, and it means that in the world of FPS games it isnt stupidly hard to kill somebody when you are aiming at them in the correct way. whereas in BF2, take out a sniper rifle and more often than not it takes 2 direct hits to stop the enemy in their tracks.

i know some people that are deadly accurate with the saw... and with the sights... with short bursts... it's deadly accurate...

I normally right click, and use the sights to get cleaner shots on the torso and head... What are you using? cause if they have the saw... they probably have armor too...

people are like vehicles... a tank can take 6 shots... or be blown up with 2... depending on where you hit it...

Are you adjusting for bullet travel time? don't... the sniper rifles are almost instantaneous... i normally take out people with single headshot or 2-3 bodyshots...

Your jump takes away your stamina, it's not infinite like in quake3... and there's no double jump... i never understood why people complained so much about people jumping... even been kicked/banned from some nazi lame-o servers because i jumped over an AT rocket... or a tank main gun...

if you don't like games where people can jump defensively i'd suggest you avoid all modern FPS... maybe give Commander Keen a shot

at a decent range I can easily kill a dolphin diver with a SAW if I'm a sniper. You just need quick reflexes and aim with the sniper rifle and keep it pointed down a bit at all times for those guys.
