BF2142 SCP issues on X-Fi XtremeGamer

I figure this has been posted before...I'll just give the readers digest version:

-Everyone sounded fine until somebody called in Orbital Bombardments and then I got SCP (Snapping/Cracking/Popping) and then I would get the BSOD referencing to DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL. FILE=HA20X2K.SYS

-I did some massive research and appearently the nForce chipsets have resource issues with Creative X-Fi drivers that causes this to happen

-Updating the drivers didn't work

-I tried moving it down a slot and at first it had IRQ18, once I moved it down one slot it had IRQ19 but once I restarted my machine it reverted back to IRQ18

-I've run the Audio in Software/Hardware/Creative X-FI and turned the quality down to every possible setting and disabled EAX

-I still get the SCP problem on Orbital Bombardments.

On a side note I've found that if you ask Creative tech support they blame it on Nvidia and sure enough if you ask Nvidia tech support they blame it on Creative...whos the real culprit? God only knows

Time to buy a P35 Chipset Mobo! lol

All jokes aside does anyone know *** is causing this, or am I S.O.L?

Everything else runs/sounds dead sexy, I only have issues with BF2142

It's Creative Labs fault... they blamed it on nVidia in 2006 when nF4 chipsets were popular. Then C2D came out and enthusiasts were using Intel chipsets again... and had the same issue. Creative Labs is also well known for its rare driver updates.

Have you disabled VOIP in game?

yup.

Try a complete driver uninstall. Go to their website's Knowledge Database. Search for "Uninstall Drivers"
