So I bought the booster packs that have armored fury and euro forces. I installed it and tried to play a map and it told me I have to buy it and to gave me the option to goto the EA site. I did this and cant find a place to put in my CDkey. This is just ticking me off. Has anyone had this happen? what site do I need to go to? I looked around and found nothing in the support pages. I figured it would just ask me but it didn't. This is stupid.

I had this problem aswell and I remember I had to install a map unlock patch thing............I will have a look for it

EDIT: I think it was the official booster pack patches............what version do you have of each? and BF2 aswell?

This happened to me. Your EA account name has to be IDENTICAL to the one on bf2 and punkbuster and everything. They all have to be the same.

Well I never set up a EA name I just did this and registered both. I will try and see if this did it. I am going to update to the latest version of BF2 I dont know if I need any patches for the booster packs. Funny thing is that EA reserves aol screennames for there users. I do have spookedjunglist as my AIM name so I guess I am lucky but what if someone else had it. My BF2 screenname is spookedjunglist as well. I think I would have been screwed if I didn't have the aim name. Because I tried to sign in and it told me to register it and I had to put in my aim password to sign up. That is just stupid. I think all of this is stupid. this could have been fixed by asking me for the CD key before the install.

Yeah thats one of the most annoying things about BF2 - setting up the multi and all the damn checks.................I ended up selling my copy to Inspire as it was annoying me so much

You can send Technical support emails from the EA support website, and they gt back to you withing 2 days, very good service.

Aim? Well, I don't have it so I couldn't help you with that. Just see if you can make everything the same, including capitals and underscores and spaces and whatnot

installed latest version of bf2 [2.141] downloaded EA link and tried to enter the codes and there is a webpage error currently on the site So If this is how you register. Then I am screwed. I find it odd that you have to try to download something you have a CD for. I guess I am going to send an unfriendly email to them now.

If you guys have any other suggestions please let me know.

As for the username I registered online for EA link and the support site using no capitilization but my username has some capital letters. That shoudln't really be a problem though.

Any help would be great. I think if the game wants to send you to an external site to register it should give you the exact page you need instead of EA.com. Now I have no interest in buying 2142.

Found out that one of the map works so far. That map does not actually have any of the upgrades on it which leads me to believe that it could be that the update to 1.41 did not take. But then again. why would it take me to the website if I just need to update? Also it keeps asking me to update even though I have updated which I think is odd. Tryin to update it again. Do you know if the number that is on the video in the background is the correct version number? If it is then it did not update. Trying again before sending the mean email I have drafted up for them.
