I wonder why the digital version is so much bigger. (or maybe it just needs that much space initially to hold the installation files + installed game?)

3 months!!

I would have thought they would recommend at least an ATI 5XXX card, with it being DX11 and all.
i doubt you will need a quad to run the game at max.
Thanks for the laugh. Watch John Doe go scouring the region for a 512MB GTX 260.

I hope my computer can handle 100+ fps @ 1680x1050! I will be purchasing a monitor that displays at 120hz!

AMD X4 965 125w (C3)
ASUS Formula III
G.Skill Ripjaw 4gb (PC12800)
XFX 5770 (will cf in the future)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w
Samsung 2233RZ

Will be using ATH-AD700s, but would you guys recommend me buying a sound card for this game?

EDIT: feel free to lul @ my current set-up, because it will mean a lot going from this to an awesome set-up!
Will they come out same time?
Those are some pretty high recommended specs. I hope my E8400 will be able to keep up.
my poor little laptop is going to die with this game
First game I've seen since I got this 9800GT where I don't meet recommended specs on both the CPU and GPU fronts. Might finally be time to upgrade the old girl. Now if only I could find a Q6600 on the cheap...

I rented it with a buddy and I'm glad I did. BC2 looks promising.

I'm surprised and maybe a little concerned that they don't have "DirectX 11-enabled Video Card" under Recommended Specs
I should be able to play this on max with my hardware maybe if i can get q9550 cheap it will help a little.

A GTX260/HD4890 will run DirectX 11 just fine, it's just that certain features like the tessellation aren't going to work.

I realize that. But this is "Recommended" aka. best gaming experience...

I don't know if they have officially announced tessellation in BFBC2. Only DX11 support (which could mean nothing).

Either way, DX11 or not, the game will be epic.
