Previously on my old computer, I unlocked 16Pixel Pipelines and 6VS and when I run a game, for about 1-5min the computer shuts down. Now I have a custom that I built
P4 2.8GHz 1.5GB of RAM. 160GBHDD.6800 oc AGP. If i set my agp apeture settings to 128mb instead of 64mb will this solve my previous problem? If I unlock, will I damage the card and void the warranty?

Don't understand? Are you tring to unlock The BFG card? I have a BFG 6800 GT OC 256MB and it has 16 pipes already.

Let me get this straight. It's not a GT?

first up, u need to make up ur mind and let us know. in anycase when u unlock any card of course you void the warranty but i dont think you are going to damage the card. as for the AGP aperture i dont think it will help you much because it is just portioning part of your physical memory to your graphics operations but that doesnt solve the problem of the limits of your card.
What should I run to test is there are any artifacts or faults what so ever?

CS:S Stress Test
Far Cry
COD 2
F.E.A.R. Stress Test

Went to BFG site http://www.bfgtech.com/6800OC.html didn't say how many pipes. Let me say this though
be very careful flashing your card. Unless you have done this before I'd say don't. I have a X800Pro that's f*%@#d because I was a rookie.

I agree. I'd leave it be. Your performance gain is not worth the cost of a bad flash.

Coolbits.
Well the GT models have 256MB ram, and the vanillas have 128MB ram (Usually). So this is a vanilla, and right now you should be at 12 pixel pipelines and 5 vertex shaders. The amount of APG apeture memory won't change the stability of a pipe unlock. Download Rivatuner so you can unlock the pipes and shaders on your video card, there's probably an FAQ about it somewhere on this site...
Is Rivatuner better than Coolbits? Might try it when I get my card back.

Rivatuner has a lot more features than Coolbits, which can only adjust frequencies.

Don't worry, I did but I got a fenced artifact in COD 2 but I took away the pipes and no wore fenced areas.
riva tuner will allow u to unlock the cards pipes and shaders, which i did on my 6800gs... coolbits will not...
If your vanilla 6800 is a 128MB model then I would set the agp aperature to 256MB. If it is 256MB I would set it at 256. Setting it at 64 disables your aperature texture transfer.

No, a 128MB, the GT is 256MB. Here's a link to a BFG GT OC http://www.bfgtech.com/6800GTOC.html . Can't wait to get water cooled to see how far I can push her. http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2...=CoolMaticNV45
