In everybody's experience which one overclocks better? I currently own a BFG 9800gx2 that overclocks amazingly, but I have heard from people that BFG's GTX285 doesn't overclock well. What are everybody's results with either card?

To be honest, the BFG and eVGA cards are identical and interchangeable. The GTX 285 seems to be hit or miss when it comes to OCing. I personally would just go with the best price and warranty you feel will serve you best. I went with eVGA since their RMA center is only a few hours from my house. So when I have RMA issues, I usually get the cross shipped replacement within 2-3 days.

As far as I know, there's not really much, if any, difference. I prefer BFG, but I don't have a real specific reason why, I suppose.

And EVGA has a better RMA service than BFG, and covers more.

Yeah but the SSC is over 50 bucks more than the EVGA SC and BFG OCE.

BFG is only a hour from me

I've RMA'ed two cards and got them back in 2days.

Anyhow I like them both, also BFG has 100day step up now I'd go with who ever has the best price.

Hmm, i think i would go EVGA because of the lifetime warrenty, and the fact that they take care of rma's real well. And i like the looks of the evga better.

I'd go EVGA, but BFG is great too

I think the one thing you can take away from this thread is you will not be disappointed with either, so just go with the cheapest. I was lucky enough to get an eVGA non SC or SCC and was able to run a little higher then SSC speeds, so I ended up flashing mine to the SSC bios.

evga and bfg both have lifetime warranties w/ a step up program. So i would go with whichever is cheaper at the time you order.

Actually they have the same warranty and BFG's step up is longer

Lol fanboi

But no really, thats a Core 192..so...why?
And its known that EVGA products with a TR at the end of the product name only have a 1+1 year warranty (if you register within 30 days you get the extra 1 year)

He's not a fanboy, he works for BFG lol. In my experiences BFG has been a bit more helpful than EVGA has.
