BIOS Update, "Not Suitable for this System"

746 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Metal425
I'm trying to flash to BIOS 1203, and older BIOS version. When I use EZ Flash 2 in BIOS with a USB stick, I try to flash and it says, this downgraded bios is not suitable for this system".

Any advice?

Go to my ASUS P5E/Maximus/Rampage Formula thread in my sig and follow the instructions to bios flashing using AFUDOS from a bootable USB drive.

I am on my iPhone at the Airport so I can't post links for you.... Sorry.
make USB bootable, boot into it,use the AWDFLASH.EXE provided my ASUS and use "/f" option you'll be fine

Will this method work with a P5N32-E SLI?

UPDATE:

Ok, I tried the AFUDOS method. When I typed in the command, it came up with an error message. There is not enough information to flash or something.. I can't remember 100%.

Hmm?
Can anyone help?

EDIT: I tried flashing through AsusUpdate... just for kicks.. and now I it says the bios image can't be used in this mobo.(The EEPROM type is incompatible.)

AHH!!!

I need help...lol
