I bought both, beat the first it was an amazingly good game, the second one was pretty good too, but not quite as good. But i like this analogy:
Its like Duke Nukem vs Doom-Guy, sure they're both badass but Doom-Guy can beat Duke Nukem under any cercemstances.

Eh, the story itself wasn't that great. The atmosphere, yes, was top-notch, but the story essentially just consisted of a typical video game "hero" plot plus a couple twists along the way.

anyone who has played system shock 1 or 2 will all realize that bioshock is merely an ok game in comparison. They reused to many features of SS2 in bioshock, including story elements. SS1 and 2 are superior in every way to bioshock, but bioshock is still a good game.

For $5 a piece you can't go wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one (have only played them on consoles) and would put that easily in my top 10 favorite games. The second was good though as someone mentioned, something was missing/felt off. Maybe it was too similar to the first, I'm not sure but it did have some good moments.

I fully expect Bioshock Infinite to blow my mind.

I would argue the story was anything but typical. But each their own. Out of curiosity would games would you say did have exceptional stories?

SS1 was pretty primitive and I played it a long long time ago. SS2 is supposed to be a superior game by all respects, which makes me very sad it's yet to be released on steam with a win 7 stable client.
