I just purchased a Biostar TA890GBX-HD and I can't for the life of me, figure out how to manually OC the thing. I have a x555 BE and I don't even see anywhere I can change the multiplier at all. The ASUS bios is well laid out, but this Biostar one is like Greek to me. Does anyone have a couple of clues to drop on me? Thx.

Overclock Navigator to manual
Go to CPU FID/VID Control,
Custom P-States to Enabled......

Biostar is a pain to oc, because of the setting for voltages are in 2 places.

And Gigabyte is incredibly unorganized and messed all over the place.

Thanks mucho amigo:thumb: It's not bad but I do have one more question.Is there anyway to select either core 3 or 4 individually? I know my x555 has a bad 3rd core?

yeah I saw that. It seems like the setting in green is like the offset in ASUS, and the other is the normal steps.

Core Leveling (change to manual) -they start with Core0 not Core1 so........
-Core1=Core0
-Core2=Core1
-Core3=Core2 (DISABLE ME)
-Core4=Core3

Ok. So the bios ain't that bad. She's runnin close to my ASUS M4A89TD-M Pro with the exception of the ram. The VRM's aren't sinked but I do have a 200mm side fan that should cool just about anything in front of it. Thanks again +1

Biostar T-series boards are a little bit of a hassle to figure out, but once you do, the boards themselves are excellent overclockers. Just don't try it with a non T-series from Biostar.

Not that I will, but why not non T series? Cheaper parts used?

The VRM on the non-T series are not has good as the T-series and the T-series is the top of the line for biostar.
